Ex-Assets are Apple devices that have previously lived inside a business or educational institution — wiped, certified fit for sale and made available through EduCom IT. A practical, more sustainable way to get hold of Apple hardware at a lower price point.
An ex-Apple Asset is simply a device that has previously been owned by a business or institution. In 99% of instances, these have either been owned by Apple or one of our educational institutions and used for internal use or training. These units are not refurbished. They have been certified "fit for sale" by Apple directly or via our service departments (in the instances of institutions).
The only exception to the above is in instances where a product has failed and been replaced. The failed unit is returned to our service departments and the failed part swapped out, after which the device becomes available through the program.
"All products sold as ex-Apple assets have a minimum of 3 months warranty unless otherwise specified. This can be extended to 1 year for $109."
We stock across all models including current-generation Apple hardware, with rotating availability as institutional fleets cycle through buy-back and refresh.
Availability rotates frequently as devices return through the buy-back and lifecycle programs. Contact us to confirm what's currently in stock and place an order.

No. Ex-assets are not refurbished. They are previously-owned devices certified fit for sale. The only exception is when a product has failed and been replaced — the failed unit is returned to our service departments, the failed part is swapped out, and the device is then made available.
